§ 14-78. Reporting animal bites.

(a)

It shall be the duty of any person bitten, having knowledge of, or treating any person bitten by any animal to report the fact of such bite within one working day to the department. It shall be the duty of any person knowing of or treating any animal bitten by another animal having or suspected of having rabies to report the fact of such bite within one working day to the department.
