§ 14-109. Contagious disease.

  • An animal that is known to be suffering from or afflicted with a contagious or infectious disease shall not be transferred, sold, bartered, or disposed of without first disclosing in writing to the person to whom the same is transferred, sold, bartered or disposed of that such animal is so diseased, nor shall such animal be or knowingly allowed to come into contact with any animal of another person without his or her knowledge or permission. Such action may be subject to additional penalties pursuant to F.S. § 828.16, as may be amended.
