The minimum housing provisions of this article shall apply to all noncommercial, residential
buildings or portions thereof, all accessory structures or portions thereof located
on property, used or unused, inhabited or uninhabited, designed or intended to be
used for human habitation or the storage of materials associated with human habitation
(such as garages). The nonresidential minimum standards provisions of this article
shall apply to all nonresidential buildings or portions thereof, all accessory structures
or portions thereof located on property, used or unused, vacant or occupied. This
article does not replace or modify standards otherwise established for construction,
replacement or repair of buildings except such as are contrary to the provisions of
this Code.
