A franchisee shall at all times protect the privacy of all subscribers to the full
extent required by § 631 of the cable act, 47 U.S.C. § 551, and applicable law. The
franchisee shall comply with all applicable law regarding collecting, storing and
disseminating of individual subscriber information. Unless otherwise permitted by
applicable law, a franchisee shall not sell or otherwise make available for commercial
purposes the names, addresses, telephone numbers of any subscriber, or any information
that identifies the individual viewing habits of the subscriber without the involved
subscriber's written consent. The county may fine a franchisee for violation of this
section $500.00 per violation.
