A franchisee shall not require a subscriber, property owner, or property manager to
enter into an exclusive contract as a condition of obtaining or continuing cable service.
Notwithstanding this section, a franchisee may enter into an exclusive contract with
a subscriber, property owner, or property manager, provided such contract is mutually
desired and not prohibited under applicable law. The county may fine a franchisee
for violation of this section $250 for each violation with each day of a continuing
violation constituting a separate violation.
