§ 2-26. Adoption of the official seals of the county; intent and purpose, penalties.

  • (a)

    The board of county commissioners of Pasco County hereby adopts the following symbol as the official seal of the county for the county's official records and documents retained and attested to by the clerk of the circuit court in its capacity as the clerk for the board's records:

    (b)

    The board of county commissioners of Pasco County hereby adopts the following symbol as the official seal of the county for all other purposes other than those clerk related functions as defined in subsection (a) above:

    (c)

    The manufacture, use, display, or other employment of any facsimile or reproduction of either of the county seals listed in subsections (a) and (b) above, except by county officials or employees in the performance of their official duties or without the express approval of the board, is prohibited.

    (d)

    Any person, business or entity found in violation of this article shall be guilty of a misdemeanor in the second degree, which shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.00, or by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not to exceed 60 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
