§ 2-237. Definitions.
The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this division, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
Animal control manager or his designee means the person whose duty it is to ensure compliance with all county animal control laws and to prepare and present those cases brought before the county code enforcement board. Such manager, with respect to cases prepared and presented to the code enforcement board, shall be directly responsible to the county code enforcement director, or his designee.
Animal control officer means any authorized agent or employee of the county whose duty it is to ensure compliance with all county animal control laws.
Building official or his designee means the person whose duty it is to ensure building code compliance and to prepare and present those cases brought before the county code enforcement board. Such official shall be directly responsible to the county code enforcement director, or his designee.
Code compliance officer means any authorized agent or employee of the county whose duty it is to ensure code compliance.
Code enforcement director or his designee means the person whose duty it is to ensure code compliance and to prepare and present those cases brought before the county code enforcement board. The director shall be directly responsible to the county administrator or his designee.
Enforcement board means the code enforcement board.
Repeat violation means a violation of a provision of a code or section of this Code or other ordinance by a person whom the code enforcement board has previously found to have violated the same provision within five years prior to the violation.
