§ 70-15. Animals.

Latest version.
  • (a)

No person shall feed or attempt to pet any wild animal on any PRNR property without prior permission from PRNR personnel.

    (b)

Domestic animals are prohibited on PRNR property except in designated areas. This prohibition does not apply to service animals as defined by Title 2 and Title 3 of the ADA. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy animals are not "service animals" within the definitions provided in Titles 2 or 3 of the ADA and therefore are prohibited on PRNR property except in designated areas.

    (c)

Except within the fenced confines of a designated dog park, persons responsible for animals at PRNR facilities must at all times retain direct control of domestic animals by means of a leash no longer than 6 feet, and must prevent vicious or aggressive behavior by the animal as defined in chapter 14 of this Code. Use of an appropriate leash does not excuse the presence of domestic animals in areas not designated by PRNR personnel.

    (d)

All domestic animals on PRNR property, including those within the fenced confines of a designated dog park and service animals, must have vaccinations and display license tags as required by chapter 14 of this Code.

    (e)

All animal waste shall be disposed of by the person responsible for the animal in approved containers provided for this purpose.
