§ 230-1. Anclote Key County Park created; financing.
(a)
All land on Anclote Key which is a part of and is owned by Pasco County is hereby set aside and preserved as a recreational park area to be developed and to be known as Anclote Key County Park as a part of the declared policy of the state and its citizens to conserve and protect outdoor recreational and park land as valued ecological and natural resources which provide needed open space for the citizens of the several counties of the state. Anclote Key County Park shall be developed in such a manner as to:
(1)
Preserve the natural state of the key as it presently exists in ecological harmony with its surroundings;
(2)
Prohibit the use of vehicular traffic on the key;
(3)
Allow the maximum number of people to enjoy the scenic and recreational possibilities of the area by providing a county-operated and maintained ferry service for which fees, determined by the board of county commissioners of Pasco County, may be charged.
(b)
Pasco County is authorized and directed to appropriate the necessary funds for the development and maintenance of the Anclote Key County Park in conformance with the provisions of this act [section].
