§ 2-223. Organization, officers, by-laws and meetings.

    Officers and by-laws. The members of the Commission on the Status of Women shall annually elect a chairman and such other officers as may be deemed necessary or desirable, who shall serve for a term of one year. Eight members of the Commission on the Status of Women shall constitute a quorum necessary to hold a meeting and take any action. The Chairman shall preside over the meetings of the Commission. The Commission may also adopt and, as necessary or desired, amend by-laws required for the efficient operation of the Commission, and adopt a schedule of meetings. Unless in conflict with any by-laws adopted, Robert's Rules of Order shall govern the conduct of the meetings.

    Meetings. The Commission shall meet at least six times per year and may meet more often if desired. Meetings shall be noticed, open to the public, and minutes shall be kept. Minutes of such meetings shall be filed with the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners. Meetings of the Commission may be staffed by County Administration, if necessary.
